RM launches one of our most ambitious websites to date.

We're incredibly proud to be able to launch the new website for Walkabout Foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to fighting paralysis the world over by raising awareness, and by raising money to supply wheelchairs where they're needed and to fund research.

Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster, the Walkabout Foundation co-founder, approached us at the end of 2010 to ask for our help in completely revamping her brand and website. We were more than happy to oblige, and early in 2011 we rolled out the new Walkabout brand for her to use. We followed this by planning and building a really quite ambitious website that would not only provide a showcase for Walkabout Foundation and its activities, but would also enable people to sign up and raise money through a variety of methods.

We built a member system that allowed people to sign up and raise sponsorship for Walkabout's charity walks, we integrated an 'Adopt a Scientist' system to allow people to contribute directly to important research on spinal cord injury, and we also built an interactive wheelchair builder application to give people a fun, easy way to donate parts of a wheelchair to someone in need.

The website allows people to join in and donate in the UK and the US and is fully integrated with Paypal. Carolina can control everything on the site, from adding new events and updating news and video, through to changing all the text and images on the site as required.
